Spills Training

This course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical understanding required to safely respond to and manage spill incidents in the workplace. It focuses on identifying spill hazards, minimising risks to people and the environment, and implementing safe response procedures.
Key topics include identifying different types of spills and associated hazards, legal responsibilities, risk assessment considerations, use of spill kits and absorbent materials, selection of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), containment techniques, safe clean-up procedures, environmental protection measures, waste disposal requirements, and emergency response arrangements.
Practical demonstrations and scenario-based exercises are included to help delegates develop confidence in responding to spill incidents safely and effectively.
By the end of the course, attendees will have an understanding of spill response principles and the practical skills needed to manage spill incidents in a safe, controlled, and compliant manner.
