This course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely respond to and support rescue operations within confined spaces. It focuses on understanding the hazards associated with confined spaces, emergency response requirements, and the safe use of rescue equipment and techniques.

The course covers key topics including confined space legislation and responsibilities, hazard identification and risk assessment, rescue planning, emergency procedures, roles within a rescue team, communication methods, casualty management, atmospheric monitoring, use of breathing apparatus and rescue equipment (where applicable), and practical rescue techniques for low, medium, or higher-risk confined space environments.

Practical exercises and realistic rescue scenarios are used throughout the course to develop competence, teamwork, and confidence in implementing safe and effective rescue procedures.

By the end of the course, delegates will have an understanding of confined space rescue principles and the practical skills needed to assist in carrying out SA.
